Professional and experienced

I am a full time professional photographer.  I'm very experienced and I know many of the most popular wedding venues in and around the Leeds area and the whole of Yorkshire, including Allerton Castle, Hazlewood Castle, Oulton Hall, Ripley Castle, Rudding Park, Weetwood Hall and Wood Hall.  This familiarity helps with the smooth running of your photography on the day but even when I am working at a venue I know well, I like the challenge of creating something different and producing images which are unique to each couple.  Our style is about telling the story of your special day and whilst we know that the traditional family group photographs are very important, Janet and I really enjoy working for couples who place a lot of value on their wedding photography and who give us the opportunity to come up with images which are artistic and different.  Our imagination, our beautiful imagery, our empathy with the couple and their families,  the time we devote to our clients, the attention they receive from us and our stunning albums means that much of our work comes from personal recommendation.

Two professional wedding photographers really are better than one and if you are worried that this makes A D Photography expensive, think again.  We have straight forward, all inclusive packages to suit most budgets, whether yours is a small week day celebration with close family and friends or a large gathering on a summer Saturday.  Janet is also a fully qualified and award winning professional photographer.  Together we make sure our clients enjoy a personal and attentive service, tailored to suit each couple perfectly and as we work together from the bridal preparations until the first dance or the fireworks, we ensure that all the precious memories of your big day are captured for you to treasure.

MPA professional wedding photographers

We are both fully qualified and award winning West Yorkshire wedding photographers with the Master Photographers Association and the Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers.  Membership of the MPA means that we earn our living from photography, we are fully insured, we have had our work assessed by a professional association and we have each been awarded Licentiateship qualifications with both the MPA and the SWPP.  This means that we have worked really hard to demonstrate that our photography is to a true professional standard and this is your guarantee of a first class service and photography you will treasure long after you've forgotten what it cost. 

Janet

Janet is very creative and has a fantastic eye for detail, making sure all the little things which make your special day unique and personal to you are captured.  As a woman, she sees things from the bride's perspective and she knows what's important to her.  She is a great people person so she runs the administration side of the business, responds to enquiries, answers the many questions brides and grooms ask about their photography and has endless patience.  She's fought long and hard to get me to understand the importance of shoes and perfume and she has a great sense of humour.  If that made you laugh, we'd love to hear from you.  As a professional West Yorkshire wedding photographer, she will be taking photographs during throughout the day, especially during the bridal preparations, the groom's arrival, the ceremony, the romantic shots, the fun shots and the first dance.  She will ensure that your group photography session goes as smoothly and as quickly as possible and she will look after everyone in the bridal party, especially the couple, to make them feel relaxed and comfortable.  She will take care of the bride's dress, arranging it beautifully and as well as all this, she is a talented wedding photographer in her own right. 

Style

Our style is probably best described as contemporary.  Mixing traditional, reportage and modern photography means that your album will truly tell the story of your wonderful day.  We are skilled in capturing moments as they happen, often called reportage or photojournalism and combining these with traditional photographs which are timeless and elegant, detail photographs to give you a record of all those little things which cost a fortune but are easily forgotten, and creative and artistic images which wouldn't look out of place in a fashion magazine.  All these combined together will result in an album which you will be very proud to show off and which tells the complete story of your wedding day.   

Our album design service

If you choose a contemporary album or a storybook, I offer a different approach to many wedding photographers.  This approach gives you as much input into your album design as you wish, but takes away the problem of wondering what your album will look like when it's finished.  I will personally design your contemporary album or storybook for you, using the photographs you choose and your album will be as unique as you are.  I will design your album to tell the story of your day creatively and beautifully, resulting in an album with a wow factor.  You will be invited to preview your design and if you require any changes, I will make them for you without cost to you, before your album is ordered.  This leaves absolutely nothing to chance and means that your album will be perfect for you.  I could not provide this service if I photographed more than thirty five weddings a year, so this is my absolute maximum and with this in mind, it's a good idea to enquire about our availability as soon as you have set a date.  It's so important to us to delight our clients not only with lovely images, but with a fabulous album to cherish.

Packages and pricing

It's natural that when you are looking for a professional wedding photographer, you do need an idea of prices and so that you don't waste your valuable time, we took the decision to include our package prices on our website and we've tried to make them as easy to understand as possible.  The packages do not represent everything we offer, so if you are looking for something different, please contact us to discuss your requirements.  We will try our best to tailor a package to suit you perfectly and we have special offers for week day weddings and those taking place between the beginning of October and the end of March.  We look forward very much to discussing your wedding.
